Rotary Club of Lee's Summit Sunrise
Lee's Summit Sunrise Rotary Club was organized on March 26, 1999 by the Lee's Summit Rotary Club. As a breakfast club, it attracts members who live or work in Lee's Summit, or the surrounding area. Over the years, Sunrise has developed a reputation for local and international service. In order to fund local and international service/educational projects, Sunrise hosts several annual fundraisers, including Feed Lee's Summit (formerly Empty Bowls) and our Fly-A-Flag Program.
Another significant endeavor of Rotary is our participation in the Rotary Group Friendship Exchanges (GFE), where we have hosted friends from many countries around the world.
Since our charter in 1999, the Lee's Summit Sunrise Rotary Club has supported many organizations through service projects, cash and in-kind donations totaling in excess of $1.5m, including but not limited to the following:
